Installing CV Savers and Coil Savers

To Start- feed the longer Zip-Tie through the Zip-Tie pouch on the wider side of the CV Saver, before putting the CV Saver onto the car. Next, you will wrap the CV Saver around the axel, and align the velcro.  Slide the CV Saver up over the CV boot. Fasten the Zip-Tie around the CV Joint. Use a pair of dykes to ratchet the Zip-Tie down as tight as possible, you will not be able to get it as tight as you need by hand.  Lastly, clip the tag end of the Zip-Tie off.

It is not necessary to run both Zip-Ties on the CV Joint and axel, unless you have torn off the CV boot or it has a tear where you are losing grease. If that is the case, take the smaller Zip-Tie and fasten around on the axel itself. Again, take the dykes to ratchet down and clip the tag end.

Note- If you have a clearance issue and are unable to get the larger Zip-Tie around the CV Joint, use both the long and short Zip-Ties onto the axel together. This will serve as a double locking nut to ensure the CV Saver does not slide down onto the axel.

Coil Savers Install (begins at 2:23)

Simply, wrap the Coil Saver around the outside of the coil springs, covering the inner shaft. Make sure you have it snug on there so it will not move around. However, do not get the Coil Saver too tight. If it is too tight, you will lose travel from your shocks as they begin to pinch the Coil Savers as the shock compresses. Be sure it is snug, but not too tight.

Zip-On Installation

SealSavers Zip-On are easy to install. Simply wrap around the SealSavers on the smaller fork tube. Zip up the zipper, ensuring the inner flap is smooth on the forks and then slide the SealSavers up over the larger fork tube by about an inch. Make sure the flaps on both ends of the zipper cover the zipper to keep it from getting into your forks.

If your motorcycle has a ring where fork guard will rub on, take a flat head screwdriver and a hammer and pop that off. Use the provided zip-tie in that location so the fork guard will rub on the zip-tie and not on the SealSavers. This will prevent holes in the SealSavers! After fastening the zip tie on the larger fork tube, cut off the tag end.Note- there is no need to remove the Zip-On SealSavers when cleaning your motorcycle. When you are washing your motorcycle, flip up the leading edge of the SealSavers a little bit and wash away any bit of dirt or dust that is on the leading edge of the SealSavers.

Take water and wash away anything on the SealSavers or on the fork tubes. Make sure you flip the SealSavers back down or else they will dry in the flipped up position and when flipped back down, they will not be as snug on the fork tubes.

Original Installation

Here is a quick video on how to install our Original SealSavers. After dropping your forks out of the triple clamps, slide the SealSavers down the larger fork tube and onto the smaller fork tube. You will want about an inch or so on the larger tube to put the Zip-Tie. You can fold the SealSavers over a little bit to give you a thumb hold to help slide them down. If your motorcycle has a ring where fork guard will rub on, take a flat head screwdriver and a hammer and pop that off. Use the provided zip-tie in that location so the fork guard will rub on the zip-tie and not on the SealSavers. This will prevent holes in the SealSavers! After you get the zip-tie nice and tight, cut off the tag end and start riding!

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning SealSavers is easy! There is no need to remove the SealSavers to wash your bike. When you are washing your motorcycle, flip up the leading edge of the SealSavers a little bit and wash away any bit of dirt or dust that is on that leading edge of the SealSavers. Take water and wash away anything on the SealSavers or on the fork tubes. Make sure you flip the SealSavers back down or else they will dry in the flipped up position and when flipped back down, they will not be as snug on the fork tubes.
